JBS Ipswich is currently seeking experienced boners, slicers, and slaughter persons to join their team, with roles available in the boning room and on the slaughter floor. Candidates with more than two years’ experience are encouraged to apply.

Slaughter floor / kill room roles:
We are seeking candidates with a minimum of two years’ experience within an abattoir / meat processing environment with the following skills:
- Slaughtering
- Halal slaughtering
- Fronting
- Legging
- Hide puller
- Splitting saw
- Neck boning
Boning room roles:
We are seeking candidates with a minimum of two years’ experience within an abattoir / meat processing environment with the following skills:
- Hindquarter boning
- Forequarter boning
About you:
- A minimum of 2 years’ proven experience in boning, slicing, or slaughtering/sawing.
- A Certificate II or III in Meat Processing is desirable to help you take on these highly skilled roles.
- Proven knife sharpening skills (high level).
- Proven knowledge and understanding of Quality Requirements.
- You will need to be able to work up to 10-hour shifts, be punctual, and have own transport.
- Some overtime may be required.
- You have the right to work in Australia (38 hrs per week).
- Australian citizen / permanent resident / full working rights in Australia are essential.
- Pass a pre-employment medical check, including drug / alcohol test.
- Be Q-Fever vaccinated or willing to receive the vaccination.
